Hier, le photographe de la nature Lotfi Bouslah de Lolo Pics a partage une photo qui m'a laissee transfixe pour l'incroyable precision artistique, quant a la composition, les lignes et les couleurs nettes. La photo montre deux mouettes en vol, deux mouettes de la belle espece Larus ridibundus, qui est connue sous le nom populaire de mouette rieuse, ainsi nommee pour son cri joyeux. Les mouettes sont dans la famille de Laridae, dont il y a 10 genus, ce qui est la categorie avant espece, et dans cette famille de 10 genus, il y a 55 especes, ce qui est la categorie apres genus. La mouette rieuse est frappante dans ce groupe grand, pour la beaute de ses couleurs finement dessinees. Cette mouette est de 33 - 44cm, avec une envergure de 89 - 105cm. En ete, les adultes ont la tete marron, mais en hiver cette couleur marron disparait, laissant juste une ligne foncee verticale derriere les yeux, et cette ligne foncee verticale d'hiver est tres visible dans les deux mouettes de la photo de Lotfi Bouslah. En anglais, on appelle cette mouette " Blackheaded seagull ", ce qui est incorrect, car la couleur de la tete en ete est marron, pas noire. Cette mouette passe la saison des amours en Europe et l'Asie, et passe l'hiver dans des regions plus sud, comme l'Afrique du Nord. Cette mouette a une belle queue blanche qui s'ouvre en forme d'eventail, et les ailes et le corps d'un gris pale, avec des pointes noires sur les ailes primaires. Le bec est rouge avec une pointe noire, et les pattes aussi sont rouges. C'est un oiseau tres elegant. La photo de Lotfi Bouslah sait accentuer cette beaute au maximum, en nous presentant deux mouettes en vol, cote a cote, comme deux danseurs, le ballerino et la ballerina, dans un moment supreme de synchronicite parfaite, le regard en position vers l'avant, un moment sublime de concentration totale de la part des mouettes, que le photographe a su donner un flair envoutant avec une allusion subtile d'une ombre bleue autour des yeux des oiseaux, ce qui ajoute a l'energie dramatique de ce pas de deux inimitable. C'est une photo qui fascine pour avoir tous les elements parfaitement alignes, un chef d'oeuvre visuel unique, un defi presque des lois de velocite , temps et espace, avec les ailes d'une mouette dans le mouvement ascendant, et l'autre mouette avec les ailes dans le mouvement descendant, tout comme un moment de ballet soigneusement choregraphie. Bravo, bravissimo au photographe Lotfi Bouslah! C'est une photo qui fait rever, sur la paucite dans la vie de ces moments magiques, en amour, en amitie, ou l'univers nous favorise, et comme il faut apprecier ces pauses que les etoiles et leurs caprices nous permettent de temps en temps, qui nous mettent brevement hors des limitations et lois de la realite ordinaire. On s'imagine sur la scene d'un beau ballet russe, avec la magie de couleurs et mouvement artistique de la part des danseurs au moment de l'apotheose du drame, avec tous les elements de musique, passion, drame, lumiere, costumes, maquillage, perfection de la danse, avec l'harmonie artistique et physique entre les deux danseurs a 100%, et nous le public temoins en haleine avec cette apotheose magnifique de beaute aux touches surreelles. La photographie est un art, voila encore la preuve incontestable avec cette photo completement ensorcelante et inoubliable.

Comme un Coq en Pate : La Petite Grenouille Satisfaite de Katia Djabri
La grenouille est un animal qui a cette capacite de me faire sourire, de me rappeller des moments joyeux de mon enfance, et d'apparaitre dans des moments depuis, ou j'ai besoin d'un peu de frivolite innocente. Comme espece, les grenouilles remontent au debut de la periode Triasique en Madagascar, donc il y a entre 251 et 201 million d'annees, mais des etudes recentes pensent pouvoir prouver que la grenouille remonte encore plus loin, a la periode Permienne, d'il y a 265 million d'annees. Les grenouilles sont associees avec la prosperite et le bon sort en Chine et au Japon. En Egypte ancien et la Mesopotamie, les grenouilles symbolisaient la fertilite, et les anciens grecs et romains associaient les grenouilles avec la fertilite, et aussi l'harmonie et la licence. Les grenouilles sont le sujet de fables associes avec Aesop. Dans le poeme ancien sumerien de Inanna et Enki, la deesse Inanna dupe Enki, le dieu de l'eau, qui lui donne tous les mes sacres, ce qui sont les decrets des dieux pour la civilisation sumerienne pour toutes les institutions sociales, religieuses, morales, telles que les voyaient les sumeriens. Enki envoyait les animaux de l'eau pour les retrouver, et la grenouille etait le premier animal de qui Enki demande l'aide. Aujourd'hui, la photographe de la nature Katia Djabri a partage sur le groupe Mer, Montagne, Nature, une photo charmante d'une petite grenouille marron bien detendue dans du trefle, la plante Trifolium, dont il y a a peu pres 300 especes, avec la plupart de ces especes dans l'hemisphere nord, mais aussi beaucoup d'especes en Amerique du Sud et l'Afrique. Le trefle est une plante qui est pollinisee le plus efficacement par les abeilles, qui souffrent des effets nefastes de pesticides, qui sont responsables pour un declin alarmant des populations des abeilles sur terre. Le trefle est associe avec la bonne vie, l'aisance, le confort et la prosperite et est le symbole traditionnel irlandais. La photo de Katia Djabri montre une petite grenouille toute detendue sur un tapis de trefle, deux symboles tres beaux de fortune. A Savvy Need : The Wish of Lotfi Bouslah's Scarab
When my son was little, he had a teacher who had a warm and wise heart, who loved the children, and was very kind to them. She taught them a little song that had a very simple melody, that was easy for children who were just five, and the chorus had these words : " Three hugs a day is a minimum, not a maximum ..." It was a little song she sang with the children each day at the end of class, and before leaving them, she would give each child a hug, and it was very touching. I often had the impression that that hug was the only hug several of these children received, so evident was their profound joy with this simple and humble ritual. My son is an adult now, of a big size, almost 6 foot 7, with big shoulders, long curly hair, a beard and mustache, like a Scottish warrior, which is part of his heritage, and each morning, he gives me a big and sincere hug, and it always gives me a moment of profound pride and joy.
Today, nature photographer Lotfi Bouslah of Lolo Pics shared a very beautiful photo of a brilliantly coloured scarab, perched on the edge of the stem of a wild flower, with the words: " We all have need of that comforting hug." The photo is precious, a jewel of precise composition, with fine colours, a poem of light and rest. It took me a moment to grasp the meaning of the title. Once I had my ah, OK, moment, I decided to do some research into the scientific importance of hugs. Apparently, they are of a crucial importance when it comes to not only our mental but also our physical health.
Hugs boost the immune system, by producing white blood cells, also called leukocytes, and hugs reduce the risk of dementia, because they help balance the nervous system and reduce high blood pressure. Hugs are a sure fire way to help persons who struggle with loneliness, depression, sadness. They are a way to express a sense of security, of communication, of friendship, of tenderness, and their exchange improves mood, by increasing serotonin levels, that are responsible for our feelings of well - being. Also, hugs let us know we are loved, accepted, part of a family, a group of friends, a community. Hugs also reduce muscle tension, and are a way to feel close to one another, are a way to express that we appreciate a person, their presence, they are a way to tell someone: you matter. Hugs strenghten our connections, our worth. When you see someone have a hard time, in their body, in their soul, give them a hug, a sincere hug reduces sorrow, even on a physical level, and reduces the symptoms of physical pain, manifested through bradykinins. An intense and deep hug briefly connects the hearts of the persons hugging, which increases mutual trust, and it was discovered that even the fact of imagining a hug from a loved one reduces anxiety and sadness and gives a sense of joy and positive emotions that also reduce existential anguish around death and doubts of self - esteem. Happy children know the importance of receiving hugs and love to receive and give this simple and efficient and most pleasant and important form of affection. The Golden Waters' Dream of Lotfi Bouslah
Water possesses a power over humans. One can live without food for six weeks, but only for a few days without water. Water is a necessity, but it is also a source of inspiration. In nature, waterfalls, calming and beautiful, the water of the mighty sea and rivers, and the water of lakes, of peaceful ponds, are places of rest, of reflection, a way to recharge our energy, and of cleansing our perspective. Water is also a source of joy, of recreation, that allows sports like swimming, the benefits of hot springs or simply the opportunity to walk with our bare feet in the salty and invigorating water of the sea. This week, Lotfi Bouslah of Lolo Pics shared a sublime photo, he calls " Golden Reflections ", a sort of dream of golden waters, from a moment on the beach of Azemour, on the west coast of Aokas, separated by a delta, in the border area between Aokas and Baccaro. This photo inspires by the beauty of its golden light, that dominates the scene, as a spiritual energy and presence that is very calm, very discrete. It is a photo that is saturated with a peace that celebrates silence. The colour gold has an ancient tradition in the world of art. In ancient Egypt, gold was the colour of the gods, of the pharaoh, of the sun god Ra. Gold and its colour were not only associated with wealth, but also with the mystery of immortality, as witnessed by the marvels of gold found in the tomb of the pharaoh Tutankhamen. In ancient Greece, statues were made of ivory and gold leaf, called chryselephantine statues, " chrysos " being the Greek word for gold, and " elephantos " being the Greek word for ivory, and the ivory was often burnt to obtain its black colour; these statues were made for temples, and were larger than life, and date from the period starting in 1500 B.C. The chryselephantine statues were guarded as precious treasures by the priestesses and priests and maintenance staff of the temples. The two best known examples, that were displayed at the temple of Olympia, were sculpted by the painter, sculptor and Greek architect Phidias ( c. 480 - 430 B.C. ) : a statue of the goddess Athena Parthenos, that measures 13 meters in height, and the statue of Zeus sitting, that stands at 12 meters in height, and is considered as one of the marvels of the ancient world. These chryselephantine statues were a way to showcase the wealth of those who built them and those who financed them.
In the modern world, the most famous example of an artist who celebrated gold in his art is the Austrian painter Gustav Klimt ( 1862 - 1918 ), who used gold leaf during the most important period of his career, with the paintings " Portrait of Adele Bloch " and " The Kiss " as the two most famous examples. Since 1998, the American painter of Italian origin, Vic Vicini, uses gold leaf to enhance the colours of his subjects. In 2008, Marc Quinn built a statue of gold, " Siren ", with as its model Kate Moss, as a modern Aphrodite. The statue is made of 18 karat gold, weighs 50 kg. and is the biggest sculpture made of gold since ancient Egyptian times.

Drums of War : The Red Moon of Lotfi Bouslah
There is something troubling about a red moon, it has a mysterious beauty. The photograph of a red moon that Lotfi Bouslah of Lolo Pics shared this week with these haunting words " Moonlight is bleeding from out of your soul ", has a powerful presence like that, that doesn't let go, like a very stubborn thorn. These words from a song by the English rock group Porcupine Tree, a song called " Lazarus " are a shattering introduction to this photo of the red moon, with its brightness of a burning coal, a sizzling brightness that is in distressing contrast to the pitch black sky, a blackness so complete that the moon barely is able to escape it. A red moon happens under specific circumstances. It is necessary to have very precise astrological circumstances. Most of the time, the moon's colour is white, grey, or golden, the red colour it achieves sometimes has to do with the way the moon reflects and refracts the light from the sun. It is this reflected solar light that allows us to see the moon here on earth. When the moon is visible to us, it reflects between 3 to 12% of the light it receives from the sun. There are three situations under which the moon achieves its red colour : during a lunar eclipse, when the moon is low in the sky, and when there is a presence of micro particles. These micro particles can be present after a volcanic eruption. In each of these three circumstances the moon appears red because it reflects the red light that is filtered through the earth's atmosphere, since red light is more resistant to diffusion, compared to blue light, and also red light passes with more ease through the atmosphere.

The local authorities do their best, in spite of a continuous frustration with the federal government that remains indifferent to the urgent need to address the undeniable reality of global climate change. The red moon, the moon of war, that paints its frustration so that all of earth can see it, that invokes the sensitive souls of artists, of poets, to notice that there is a connection between the violence and cruelty on earth at this moment, the racism, the fanaticism, and the cries of a tormented nature, that is exhausted and furious, not unlike the way Steven Wilson sings it :

This photo has a powerful impact, that makes me hear the music of beating war drums, coming from the moon, to wake up the sleeping humans, indifferent to the fact that if the earth burns, the future will only exist in the emptiness of a destroyed world, and that is why the moon bleeds red with the wounds of every sensitive and conscientious soul and with the wounds of the soul of nature, like a mirror from the future coming to us from far, very far, as a prophetic warning of distress and anguish.

Quand la Lune Passait le Mur du Son : La Lune de Croissant Bleue de Lotfi Bouslah
Ce matin, avant que s'avait leve le soleil, tout dehors etait couvert d'une couche de givre, refletant une lumiere blanche et scintillante sous un ciel parseme d'etoiles. C'etait beau de decouvrir quelques heures plus tard une photo splendide de la lune de croissant du matin chez lui dans le Nord de l'Algerie, a Aokas, de la part du photographe de la nature Lotfi Bouslah de Lolo Pics. Au milieu d'un ciel d'une couleur bleue ultramarine, suspendue comme un bijou sculpte de cristal pur, la photo de la lune de croissant matinale si bien ciselee me donnait envie de la vouloir toucher. Je ne pouvais resister l'idee que, si je reussisais a la toucher, elle sonnerait comme une cloche avec un son pur, clair et profond, comme les cymbales tibetaines, les Tingsha. Ces cymbales sont utilisees comme une invocation a la meditation, et sont considerees un symbole de la protection des dieux. Leur son veut inspirer la vigilance, un precepte dans la philosophie tibetaine qui se concentre sur le present, essayant d'inspirer le courage de s'eloigner des defis du passe, et de ne pas etre obsede par les angoisses du futur. Leur son long et profond veut aussi communiquer l'importance de l'equilibre entre le precepte masculin de la compassion et le precepte feminin de la sagesse. On a au jardin ici a Olympia, suspendus en dessous de l'avant -toit, plusieurs carillons qui imitent le son des cymbales tibetaines, un son calmant et melodieux. La photo de la lune de croissant ciselee de Lotfi Bouslah evoque ce son spirituel, ancien et rassurant. Le photographe de la nature a su creer un moment de beaute hypnotisant, avec juste deux couleurs : le blanc delicat de la lune de croissant matinale et de sa signature elegante d'artiste en bas au cote droit de la photo, et le bleu ultramarine du ciel, une couleur obtenue de la pierre lapis - lazuli, et duquel il y a juste un soupcon sur la surface de la lune finement sculptee. C'est toujours fascinant et un privilege exquis quand un artiste nous permet sa vision sur un sujet, et quant a cette lune de croissant sublime, ces mots de la part du photographe de Lolo Pics en reponse a mon observation sur sa photo me fascinent : " You're right, Trudi. How I wish to touch it, let it ring and fall down into earth. It would rain melodies for a billion years", ce qui se traduit comme :
" Tu as raison, Trudi. Comme je voudrais la toucher, pour la faire sonner, et ensuite la faire tomber sur terre. Il pleuvrait des melodies pour un milliard d'annees". Quelle image merveilleuse et puissante pour un monde qui en ce moment d'angoisses et incertitudes perturbantes a tellement besoin d'une abondance de joie et de charite et de sagesse. Un Moment Parfait : La Plage Isolee de Djamil Diboune
Une plage isolee evoque souvent des emotions profondes. Une plage isolee invite la reflexion, un sens de soulagement, un espace qui permet le regne libre de nos pensees. C'est une place ou on peut rever sans interruptions, ou le vide paisible nous invite de ranger nos problemes, ou nos douleurs privees recoivent un peu de dignite dans le rythme hypnotisant des vagues se brisant sur le rivage.
La photo du 11 novembre du photographe de la nature Djamil Diboune d'une plage tres tranquille et desertee est un tel site. La composition est simple, un sable dore au premier plan, a gauche; les vagues bleues a droite, un ciel bleu avec quelques nuages au - dessus de la mer, et un rocher grand de couleur foncee, qui fait un beau contraste avec les couleurs de la mer et du sable, en angle asecendant en arriere - plan a gauche du tableau. Ce n'est meme pas important ou exactement est cette belle plage depourvue d'aucune presence humaine. J'aimerais bien etre sur cette plage en ce moment, loin de tout le monde, loin de la capacite qu'ont certaines personnes de nous blesser, de nous critiquer, d'utiliser leurs mots comme un couteau negligent inconscient de sa lame tranchante. C'est toujours une contradiction curieuse, la solitude assure qu'on reduit le risque d'etre insultee ou blessee, les liens sociaux sont une facon d'avoir une famille, un sens de communaute, au risque de se trouver l'ame opprimee et mal compris. La photo de la belle plage hospitaliere de Djamil Diboune etait juste le remede gentil qu'il me fallait aujourd'hui, pour retrouver ma dignite et mon sourire.
Je sais que la plage a beaucoup d'interpretations dependant de la culture, et du moment. Kamel Daoud a une explication tres profonde quant a la signification de la plage et de la mer dans le contexte des angoisses culturelles et religieuses et politiques en Algerie, c'est un symbole qui domine beaucoup des tourments intellectuels de ses ecrits. J'y pense biensur en m'imaginant sur la plage de Djamil Diboune. Je pense aussi comme je suis reconnaissante de me trouver face a un site qui me permet de parler avec dignite au douleur qui dechire mon ame, et d'avoir ce point de repos, de beaute toute privee, tout silencieux qui m'inspire de croire que l'espoir vaut le coup quand - meme, et que la vie est belle, comme cette nature algerienne, n'importe ma peine en ce moment. Cette plage m'ecoute; ce moment de tristesse va passer, la chanson des vagues me dit autant.
